The mayor and council named, and voted in, our new Planning and Zoning Review Commission tonight. I feel confident we will have the whole city represented by this group.
The Commission is:
Frank Lambert of Hearn Road
Mark Prater of Cochran Mill Road
Hugh Tyer of Hamilton Road
Rocky Reeves of Garretts Ferry Road
Clay Stafford of Selborne Lane
All the above are qualified individuals and will support our city's view of the future.
Also sworn in tonight were Bob Simpson as our permanent part time city manager. We are fortunate to have him as manager of our new city. He will work with the mayor and council.
Jim Barfield was sworn in as our Chief Judge. He lives in the city, has a law practice and has served as Juvenile Judge for Fulton County.
Troy Smith was sworn in as Code Enforcement Officer.
Thomas Marshall and Mike David were sworn in as Building Inspectors.
I encourage citizens to work with all the above to make our city a success.
The elected officials are your servants, let us know your thoughts.
