Our city has a large group of citizen volunteers to help our city go forward. This was demonstrated by the number of people who signed up on February 5th. For those who haven’t heard, we had 550 people signed up for the various groups. This demonstrates a citizenship willing to give of their time and talents to help make our city a success.
A member of the city council has been assigned to each group. The council member will organize the first meeting of their assigned group. The group will elect officers and set up their meetings from that point on. The council will be available to help and will be a liaison to the city.
For those who aren’t sure which group they signed for, a list is posted on the bulletin board at city hall. Please go by to check the lists. If you would like to help the council member set up the first meeting feel free to call or email the council member and I’m sure all help will be appreciated.
